promovax.eu is an independent travel medicine portal. It is for people in Germany planning a long-haul trip who want to know which vaccinations and precautions are recommended for their destination and where they can get advice and vaccinations nearby.

- A guide on yellow fever, routine vaccinations, costs and reimbursement, timing, vaccination records, malaria and mosquito protection.
Where the health information comes from
We rely exclusively on primary sources: the German Federal Foreign Office's travel and safety advice, the recommendations of the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) and the Robert Koch Institute, the recommendations of the German Society for Tropical Medicine, Travel Medicine and Global Health (DTG) and the country lists of the World Health Organization (WHO). Every destination page and article lists its sources and date. We give no doses, no vaccination schedules and no individual recommendations. Our content does not replace medical advice.
Entry rules and recommendations can change at short notice. We review the destination data regularly. If you spot an error, please let us know via the contact form.
Where the practice data comes from
Basic listings come from publicly available Google Places API data (as of Oct 2026): name, address, phone, website, category and average rating with count. We do not copy review texts or photos. We only included facilities whose name clearly refers to travel medicine, yellow fever vaccination, tropical medicine or a vaccination clinic. GP practices without this reference, pharmacies without a clear travel vaccination service, test centres and veterinary practices are excluded. This also means many good practices that advise on travel vaccinations are not (yet) listed.
How we are funded
The basic listing is free. Practices can book a premium package for more visibility. Premium affects the order on city pages, but not the destination data, the guide or the details of other listings. Profiles stay factual and must comply with German medical advertising law (HWG). We do not book appointments, forward enquiries or sell contact data.
About this domain
The address promovax.eu formerly hosted the website of the EU-funded project PROMOVAX, which promoted vaccination among migrants. The domain was re-registered in 2026 by the operator of this website. There is no legal, organisational or editorial connection between this portal and the former project, its partners or funders. Content, materials and publications of the former project are no longer available here.
